    A Modernist table lamp by Maison Desny, Art Deco, circa 1930. A Modernist/Art Deco Table Lamp by Maison Desny. Nickel plated bronze and dark green glass disks. Stamp "Desny Paris Made in France déposé" under the base. Circa 1930. Very good condition. Maison Desny was a famous modernist luxury design workshop created by Clément Nauny which operated in the late 1920's/early 1930's. Lamps were among their best selling pieces.     Marianne Brandt worked for the lamp editor Kandem for whom she designed the most representative models in a tight cooperation between the Bauhaus and Kandem. When the Bauhaus was forbidden she continued to work as a free lancer.

    This bakelite table lamp is approximately dated 1945. Wired for European use.
