Exceptionnelle sculpture/lampe Art Déco de Max Le Verrier (1891-1973) représentant un singe sous un parapluie. Il s’intitule La Pluie « The Rain » ou Le Singe au Parapluie « Monkey with an Umbrella ». Modèle créé vers 1925-1927 et récompensé au Salon des Humoristes de Paris en 1927. Lampe de table avec deux ampoules. Coulée de bronze à patine vert antique. L’abat-jour est original et en verre dépoli. Base hexagonale en marbre noir veiné.
Signée sur la base « Le Verrier ».
Edition ancienne très rare. Quelques usures de la patine (voir photos) conformes à l’âge.
Câblée pour une utilisation européenne.
Exceptional Art Deco sculpture/lamp by Max Le Verrier (1891-1973) representing a monkey under an umbrella. It is titled « The Rain » or « Monkey with an Umbrella ». Model created around 1925-1927 and rewarded at the Salon des Humoristes (Humorists Exhibition) in Paris in 1927. Table lamp with two bulbs. Casting bronze with antic green patina. The lamp shade is original and made of frosted glass. Hexagonal base in veined black marble.
Signed on the base « Le Verrier ».
Ancient edition which is very rare. Some wear and tear on the patina (see pictures) consistent with age.
