This exceptional mask belongs to the sought after Dan-Guéré mask family (Africa – Côte d’Ivoire/Ivory Coast). It is made from wood with a nice black patina, pigments and comes with a beautiful set of small bronze bells and hair made of vegetable fibers. It dates from the first half of the 20th century.
