Coffee table by André Arbus and Jean Dunand, 1937.
Low coffee table or guéridon in irregular turtle-shell color Chinese lacquer. Basin shape top with curved sides. Four shaped legs. Mirror top with a gilded 'églomisé' decor of a red and blue flowery branches frieze.
Stamped 'André Arbus' as cabinetmaker. Lacquer work attributed to Jean Dunand. A facsimile of the original invoice with header 'Andre Arbus, 24 avenue Matignon, dated 19 Avril 1937'. Will be given to the buyer.

Gouache depicting a seated Touareg (also called blue man of the desert because of their indigo dyed clothing). The painting is signed Monique Cras, dated 1942 and titled 'Chasseur de mouflon dans le Hoggar' (Mouflon Hunter in the Hoggar). The Hoggar is a mountain range in southern Algeria.
A pair of sconces created by Peter Hamburger (b. 1941) for Knoll. An acrylic resin rod is masking the wire and making it almost invisible. Chrome reflector masking the bulb. The lights are fixed to the wall with two attachment tabs. Entirely original (reflectors, chrome, rods, switches). Rare and timeless 1970s model. Wiring to the European standard. Measures: Total height 120 cm, reflector diameter 17 cm, depth 14 cm.
Note: A second identical pair but 30 cm shorter is available.
