Superbe paire d'appliques de la Maison Baguès (Paris). Ce modèle aux perroquets est iconique et a fait la renommée et le succès de la Maison Baguès. Elles sont anciennes, circa 1930-1940 et en bon état. Deux lumières par applique. Les motifs décoratifs (perroquets, feuilles) sont en verre moulé fixé sur une monture en métal doré. Bougeoirs en verre également et fausses bougies cachant les douilles des lampes. Câblée pour une utilisation européenne. Stunning pair of sconces by Maison Baguès (Paris). This model with the parrots is iconic and made Maison Baguès famous and successful. They are ancient : circa 1930's-1940's and in good condition. Two lights per sconce. Decorative motifs (parrots, leaves) are made of molded glass attached to a golden metal mount. Candle holders made of glass as well and fake candles hiding the lamp sockets. Wired for European use. -

Iconique lampe de table orientable moderniste dessinée par Jacques Adnet (1900-1984) pour Baccarat. L'originalité de cette lampe est qu'elle est composée de deux parties indépendantes : un socle métallique circulaire et une boule de verre qui porte la lampe et peut être orientée dans de multiples positions. Ancienne édition datant d'environ 1930. Bon état mais la base était généralement nickelée, celle-ci soit n'était pas nickelée soit l'a entièrement perdue. Deux petits chocs en dessous de la base de la boule en verre - voir photos (non visibles lorsque la boule est en place sur sa base). Câblée pour une utilisation européenne. Un abat-jour moderne est fourni. Remarque : Certains pensent que ce modèle n'a pas été conçu par Adnet mais par Georges Chevalier, mais l'opinion dominante et l'attribution la plus courante revient à Adnet. The originality of this lamp is that it is made of 2 independent parts: a circular metal base and a glass ball which bears the lamp and can be oriented in multiple positions. Ancient edition dating from circa 1930. Good condition however the base was generally nickel plated, this one was either not nickel plated or lost it entirely. 2 small shocks below the base of the glass ball - see pictures (not visible when the ball is in place on its base). Wired for European use. A modern lampshade is provided. Note : Some believe it was not designed by Adnet but by Georges Chevalier however the dominating opinion and most common attribution is Adnet's. Le vase est en forme de boule et décoré de fleurs accolé les unes aux autres de couleurs roses et rouges sur un fond se dégradant ; de couleur bleu clair vers le col et jusqu’à des couleurs vertes terreuses vers la base afin de créer une impression de sol. Epreuve en émaux de Limoges polychrome sur âme en laiton, techniques très exigeante dont Limoges eu le savoir-faire. Le vase est signée à l’or « C. Fauré Limoges France » et légendée sous la base en noir « EMAUX DE LIMOGES PAR C. FAURE ». ce qui est typique de la période Art Déco des vases produits par Camille Fauré. Dimensions : 16.5 x 18x 18 cm ______________________________________________________________________________________________ The vase is ball-shaped and decorated with flowers adjoined to each other in pink and red colors on a deteriorating background; light blue color towards the collar and up to earthy green colors towards the base to create a ground impression. Enamel proof of Limoges polychrome on brass core, very demanding techniques of which Limoges had the know-how. The vase is signed with gold «C. Fauré Limoges France» and captioned under the black base «EMAUX DE LIMOGES PAR C. FAURE». which is typical of the Art Deco period of the vases produced by Camille Fauré.
