Ce modèle fut choisi pour décorer l'appartement grand luxe "Trouville" du paquebot Normandie en 1935 ainsi que la galerie des pas perdus à la Société des Nations à Genève (ancêtre de l'ONU) La ville de Paris l'a acheté pour l'exposition internationale des Arts et Techniques de 1937

Jean Perzel (1892-1984) était un célèbre designer français de luminaires, né en Bavière. Après avoir été formé comme artiste verrier à Munich, il s’installe à Paris, où il se fait connaître pour ses élégants luminaires en verre et en bronze. En 1923, il établit son atelier et devient une figure clé du mouvement Art Déco, créant des designs pour des clients prestigieux comme la cour royale belge et Henry Ford. Son atelier est réputé pour son engagement envers l'artisanat, produisant des pièces telles qu'une lampe pivotante pour les étudiants et des dalles de verre incrustées de lumière. L'héritage familial se perpétue aujourd'hui sous la direction d'Olivier Raidt, le petit-neveu de Perzel, qui maintient la tradition d'un savoir-faire exceptionnel, reconnu par le label "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant".- Métal nickelé et plaques de verre taillées au burin.

Maison Desny was a famous modernist luxury design workshop created by Clément Nauny which operated in the late 1920's/early 1930's. Lamps were among their best selling pieces. Rare and Exceptional 1970s Knoll Pair of Sconces by Peter HamburgerA pair of sconces created by Hamburger (1941) for Knoll. An acrylic resin rod is masking the wire and making it almost invisible. Chrome reflector masking the bulb. The lights are fixed to the wall with two attachment tabs. Entirely original (reflectors, chrome, rods, switches). Rare and timeless 1970s model. Wiring to the European standard.
