A Modernist table lamp by Maison Desny, Art Deco, circa 1930. A Modernist/Art Deco Table Lamp by Maison Desny. Nickel plated bronze and dark green glass disks. Stamp "Desny Paris Made in France déposé" under the base. Circa 1930. Very good condition. Maison Desny was a famous modernist luxury design workshop created by Clément Nauny which operated in the late 1920's/early 1930's. Lamps were among their best selling pieces. Rare and Exceptional 1970s Knoll Pair of Sconces by Peter HamburgerA pair of sconces created by Hamburger (1941) for Knoll. An acrylic resin rod is masking the wire and making it almost invisible. Chrome reflector masking the bulb. The lights are fixed to the wall with two attachment tabs. Entirely original (reflectors, chrome, rods, switches). Rare and timeless 1970s model. Wiring to the European standard.

André Groult (1884-1966) était un décorateur et dessinateur de meubles français de renom, connu pour sa capacité à infuser sensualité et fantaisie dans ses créations. Issu d'une famille bourgeoise conventionnelle, il est devenu une figure clé de l'art décoratif du XXe siècle. Groult a épousé la créatrice de mode Nicole Poiret et a collaboré avec des artistes notables comme Louis Süe et Marie Laurencin. Il a présenté son travail à l'Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes de 1925, où il a conçu une chambre de femme aux tons roses et gris, utilisant des matériaux précieux tels que l’ébène de Macassar et l'ivoire. Son approche unique a laissé un impact durable sur les arts décoratifs.- Châssis fait de barres rectangulaires et quatre plateaux fixés par des vis apparentes en bois taillé.
